Marco van Gelderen visits Entrepreneurship unit on 9.-13.11.2015

​Senior Lecturer Dr. Marco van Gelderen (VU University Amsterdam, the Netherlands) visits the Entrepreneurship Unit on 9-13 November 2015. During his visit Marco will participate in teaching in the course YR1 Opportunity creation and assessment where he will facilitate an intensive week for students. The intensive week focuses on the development of so-called ‘enterprising competencies’ – soft skills underlying entrepreneurship such as generating ideas for opportunities, taking action, perseverance, networking, teamwork, and influencing. A culmination of the intensive week is a full day event called “Opportunity Day” which will take student teams around Turku to accomplish a variety of challenges that were designed to let the students show enterprising behaviour.
