New International Business research on export performance measurement

Together with Australian and Estonian colleagues, professor Niina Nummela has published a study focusing on the export performance measurement of technology-focused innovation-based fast internationalizing companies. Based on empirical study among Australian entrepreneurs, the study demonstrates that traditional measures do not fit well to these companies. Instead, the measures used should be flexible in order to capture the dynamics of the development of these companies. When developing cutting-edge solutions and creating new markets, these companies set themselves targets which existing measures do not take into account.
