How do entrepreneurs learn from failure, and how is this reflected in the internationalisation of their ventures? This conceptual paper from marketing and international business researchers at Turku School of Economics demonstrates that internationalization of entrepreneurial firms is complex and nonlinear but also tightly intertwined to experiential learning. In this process, failures trigger the need to learn and thus fuel the process, and the entrepreneur act an important gatekeeper of experiential learning.
