The advisory board brings different interest groups to cooperate even more closely with the development of the operations of the School of Economics.

Turku School of Economics has appointed an international advisory board. The members represent both the academia and the economic life, and they all have a close connection to the School.

‒ Pursuing international excellence demands high-grade sparring partners. The advisory board will support us in our endeavours in a world, in which business schools are expected to have yet clearer strategic vision and international competitive edge. It is intriguing, how the members of our advisory board will see our views of including foresight, responsibility, and multidisciplinary research as building blocks of the future of the School, says Markus Granlund, the Dean of Turku School of Economics.

Granlund is glad the School has succeeded in acquiring diverse knowhow and experience in the advisory board.

‒ We are genuinely willing to invite the members of our interest groups to be a part of developing our operations and quality. The advisory board is a suitable forum for systematic cooperation.

Alumni an Integral Part of the Developmental Work

The cooperation aims at developing the strategy of the School together with the board members. Examples of topical matters are internationalisation and developing study contents and quality.

‒ The board has experts on many different fields. They have a wide perception of how we could improve the working life relevance in teaching, for example.

According to Granlund, establishing an advisory board is in touch with developing the alumni relations at the School of Economics. Many of the board members are TSE graduates.

‒ We really do appreciate the fact, that there are alumni willing to dedicate their time to developing their alma mater.
