Introduction to Sustainability Course (2 ECTS credits) provides knowledge and understanding of the basics of sustainability. The course is research-based and combines the research perspectives to sustainability from experts from different disciplines of the University of Turku.
After the completion of the course the student has obtained a scientific perspective on sustainability and understands the complex nature of sustainable development and has the necessary abilities to analytically and critically evaluate discussions involving sustainability.
The student has also developed the ability to develop thinking, knowledge base and attitude and study different phenomena from the perspectives of social, environmental, economic and cultural sustainability. In addition, the student has built expertise and professional life skills needed for building a more sustainable future.
