Flexible study right between University of Turku and Åbo Akademi University

Between University of Turku and Åbo Akademi University there are two ways of granting flexible study rights (depending on whether the studies are obligatory):

1. If the studies from the other above-mentioned universities are obligatory studies in your degree, the study right will be granted automatically in the beginning of your degree study right. For this, you must be enrolled as an attending student at your home university from this academic year. For example, if Åbo Akademi University's student have obligatory studies in their degree from the University of Turku, the student does not have to apply for a flexible study right according to this instruction. In these cases your own degree coordinator or faculty office will give you more detailed information. When your flexible study right to obligatory studies has been saved to the University of Turku's Peppi system, you will receive via email information about how to activate an UTU user account. If this study right ends before you have completed the obligatory studies, you must apply or additional time to the study right using the electronic form (number 2 below). The electronic form must be used also if you haven't been enrolled as an attending student in the beginning of your studies or if you want to study othet than obligatory courses in the University of Turku.

2. If the studies you want to study at the University of Turku are not obligatory studies in your degree, you can apply for a flexible study right with the electornic UTUForms application form. Please use your home university's user account (ABO or UTU) to log into the system. This electronic form is also available to exchange students in both universities. You will receive email notifications when your application is moving forward in the UTUForms system. If you are granted a flexible study right to the University of Turku, the Student Centre Disco will send you information on how to activate an UTU user account for the studies.

Please note that not all studies are available as flexible study right studies. Before filling in the application, please check are the studies you're planning to take available for you.

Study right and enrollment will be saved to Peppi system

After the faculty at the University of Turku has granted you a JOo study right, they will inform you about the decision. When a study right is granted, the Student Centre Disco will save the student's information to Peppi study system.

The Student Centre Disco will inform you via email when you information is saved to Peppi and will also send you instructions on activating your UTU user account. You need the user account to log into Peppi where eg. the course enrollments are done.

Please notify that the granting the JOO study right is not the same as the course enrollment. Student's must enroll to all courses in Peppi.
