Collaboration at the Department of Museology

Each year we organise project courses, where our students can work together with different museums and cultural heritage operators.

If your organisation has a project that could be realised by our students, please contact the university teacher of Museology. Please note that the courses are often planned at least six months in advance.

Some examples of collaboration:

  • Renewing an exhibition for the Liedon Vanhalinna museum (2018)
  • Museums as Innovation Platforms – workshop with Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova museum, Junior Achievement Finland, and the University of Applied Sciences (2018)
  • Medieval Religious Heritage course with the Turku Cathedral Museum (2018)
  • Piikkilanka-aidan takana. Exhibition on the Finnish Civil War for the University of Turku (2017–2018)
  • Färikäst! Poimintoja Turun monikielisestä historiasta -exhibition at Brinkkala gallery with Turku Museum Centre and The Language Specialist Degree Programme (2022-2023).
