Accounting and Finance
Accounting and finance is the largest subject in the Turku School of Economics by several indicators (i.e. number of majoring students, number of completed Master’s theses and the amount of academic credits).
Research and teaching in accounting and finance covers the areas of management accounting, financial accounting (including auditing) and finance. The fundamental issues within accounting and finance are profitability of economic units, cost efficiency, the balance of finance and generating information to meet the needs of investors, financial markets and other stakeholders.
The publication of the department’s annual reports has concluded with the 2024 Annual Report. Going forward, communication with stakeholders regarding the department’s activities, current topics, and key developments will primarily take place through the department’s website.
