Library Opening Hours Developed Based on Feedback – Most Libraries Open at 8 am
The opening hours and customer service hours of the Turku Campus libraries, apart from the Feeniks Library, will change starting from the 3rd of April. The libraries will open at 8 am and have self-service hours until noon.
“We have received requests to open libraries at 8 am, so that the library can be reached before the lectures begin. We aim to target the guidance and customer service provided by the library staff at the time when there is the greatest need,” says Antti Peltonen, Head of Library Services.
Changes to the opening hours of libraries in Turku starting from the 3rd of April
- Libraries open on weekdays at 8 am. There will be no changes to the opening time of the Feeniks Library, on weekdays at 9 am.
- From 8 am to 12 pm, the libraries have self-service hours. Library staff can be contacted by phone, chat and email.
- In addition to the morning, the Calonia Library has self-service hours on Wednesdays and Thursdays between 4 pm and 6 pm.
There will be no changes to the closing times of the libraries and the opening hours of the Feeniks Library will remain unchanged. New opening hours will be updated on the library's website once they are launched. You can also check the library opening hours on the Tuudo app available to students and staff at the University of Turku.
Some library facilities open in the evening and at night
Do you want to study at the library 24/7? Now it is possible. Educarium study space has been opened for 24/7 use for students at the University of Turku. In addition, some study facilities on the first floor and facilities and collections on the second floor of Arcanum Library are available for Turku University students during the opening hours of the building, after the library is closed at 6 pm.
Printed materials in mathematics, natural sciences and engineering available in Teutori Library
Starting from the 3rd of April, the materials in the Teutori Library will be back in use, after the printed material of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering have been moved to the Teurori Library. The library is also undergoing changes in study facilities based on customer feedback. Welcome to the Teutori Library!
