The new Special Issue on the Future of the Arctic introduces articles on various aspects of the Arctic developments, including the recent political tensions, economic opportunities, and environmental and societal questions. The authors include, among others, Arctic Ambassador of Norway Else Berit Eikeland, Director of Unit for Northern Europe under Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland Maimo Henriksson, and President and CEO of Lapland Chamber of Commerce of Finland Timo Rautajoki.

The Pan-European Institute publishes a discussion forum, Baltic Rim Economies (BRE), which focuses mainly on the economic development of the Baltic Sea region. In the BRE review, high-level public and corporate decision makers, representatives of Academia and several other experts contribute to the discussion.
