Dr. Yi Jiang visits the Entrepreneurship Unit on 19-20 October 2016. Yi Jiang is an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship in ESCP Europe. Before joining ESCP Europe, she earned her Ph.D. degree in Grenoble Ecole de Management.

Yi’s research and teaching interests revolve around challenges founding teams meet during the new venture creation processes, with particular emphasis on effectuation and attentional allocation mechanism. She is specialized in process study and has worked closely with eight Chinese entrepreneurs over three years on her research projects.

As a part of Yi's visit a research seminar will be organised at TSE (lecture room 33) on 20 October at 10:00 where Yi will present her paper "How do firms employ effectuation differently? - A process study of six high-technology ventures". Building on a longitudinal comparative case study of six entrepreneurial technology firms, the paper explores how firms employ effectuation through a process lens and whether more successful ventures employ effectuation differently as compare to less successful ones.

Participation in the seminar is free. Registrations to elisa.akola@utu.fi no later than 18.10. Welcome!
