D.Sc. Salla Laasonen appointed as Assistant Professor at Rotterdam School of Management, the Netherlands

D.Sc., postdoctoral researcher Salla Laasonen has been appointed as Assistant Professor at Rotterdam School of Management at Erasmus University, the Netherlands starting 1.9.2014. The tenure track position is located in the Department of Business-Society Management, which is one of the first departments in Europe focusing on specifically on corporate responsibility related issues.
Before starting at RSM, Dr. Laasonen will spend 9 months at Stanford University as SCANCOR visiting scholar. The Scandinavian Consortium for Organizational Research is a unit within Stanford University, which facilitates inquiry in organizational social science among a transnational network of scholars. The research visit is funded by the Foundation for Economic Education.
Dr. Laasonen’s research focus will continue to be on responsible business, stakeholder engagement, participation processes, and cross-sector interactions. In terms of research projects, she will collaborate with Prof. Rob van Tulder and the Partnerships Resource Centre (PrC). The PrC conducts research and carries out projects related to cross-sector partnerships in cooperation with private, public, and civil society actors.
Dr. Laasonen will continue at Turku School of Economics with coordination, development and teaching related activities on Responsible Business with a 20% position.
