Meet the new TIES fellows on 20 and 27 September – two online events
TIES – Turku Intersectoral Excellence Scheme is a new programme which mixes the traditional Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS) model of bottom-up research with intersectoral working. In September 2023, eight TIES Fellows joined the Turku Institute for Advanced Studies (TIAS) to undertake new research projects. TIES Fellows spend part of their Fellowship on secondment with an organisation outside of higher education.
"I am delighted to welcome the first Turku Intersectoral Excellence Scheme Fellows to the University. They bring a wide range of talent and expertise with them from across seven different countries. For the first time our Fellows will gain experience via secondments outside of higher education during their Fellowships. We are extremely grateful to the European Commission for co-funding this scheme and we look forward to introducing the new Fellows online on 20 and 27 September," says Professor Martin Cloonan, director of TIAS.
We welcome colleagues from the University of Turku and beyond to join us in these online seminars to find out more about TIAS’ new Fellows and their research. Please join us online for an hour of interdisciplinary research excellence.
