New study spaces under construction in the Turku School of Economics Library

20.10.2023

The Turku School of Economics Library is undergoing renovations with the aim of creating more extensive and versatile spaces for studying, lounging, and group work. The renovated customer spaces will be in use in the early part of 2024.

Renovations are being carried out on the library's lower floor, which will be opened for customer use. The floor is being transformed to provide space for both library materials and much-needed study areas: for group work and even for following remote lectures.

The renovations will cause noise when a new entrance from Mercatori to the library is being opened. However, efforts will be made to schedule the loudest work in a way that causes minimal disruption to library users. We will provide information about any known noise-causing work in advance on the Library units, opening hours and contact information website, where you can check for any disruptions to library services.

In all Turku campus area libraries, there are various workspaces available, ranging from group study rooms to completely quiet areas, and they are freely accessible to all library users!
