Special arrangements during the spring may put students’ ability to cope to the test. The Opintokamu (in English “Studypal”) programme offers educational institutions tools for improving student’s well-being. Students of universities of applied sciences in Finland can now access the free online course.

The study programme has been developed for the use of upper secondary schools and vocational schools, it is already widely used in them. Due to the exceptional circumstances, the Opintokamu team decided to offer the online course free of charge for the students of the universities of applied sciences too.

The course has received a lot of positive feedback from students. Opintokamu is an easy-to-use entity that introduces students to topics related to learning, social relationships and emotional life. The course gives a lot of tips for e.g. self-studying, motivation and maintaining mental well-being.

The Opintokamu programme has been developed by the the psychology research group at the University of Turku.
