WORK2019 conference examines the effects of digitalization on working life in a multidisciplinary and multidimensional way, with the theme Real Work in the Virtual World

WORK2019 conference is an international forum where researchers and experts of work and working life exchange information and experiences. The theme of the conference, Real Work in the Virtual World, calls the participants to research, analyze and discuss the diversity of modern work. 

The main philosophy and viewpoint of the conference emphasize multidisciplinary research of work and working life. They are examined through different contexts and viewpoints. There’s room for economics, social sciences and business economics, as well as occupational health and psychology. During the conference, participants will examine the effects of digitalization of work and working life through academic introductions, plenary sessions and presentations. 

The conference will be held in August 14-16 2019 at the Finlandia Hall and at the National Museum of Finland, Helsinki. The main organizers of the conference are Turku Centre for Labour Studies TCLS, SWiPE Research Consortium and the Turku School of Economics at the University of Turku, together with the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health.
