University of Turku Named Winner of the Finland/Estonia CFA Institute Research Challenge
A student team of the University of Turku has won the local competition of the CFA Institute Research Challenge and now advances to the EMEA Regional where it will compete against universities from Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Eight Finnish and Estonian universities sent a team of three-to-five students to participate in the local challenge. The students from the University of Turku won the Finnish/Estonian challenge and will next travel to the EMEA final in Jordan, where they will match their wits, analytical skills and presentation abilities against other student teams from Europe, Middle East and Africa. The winners of the three Regionals (Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific) will then advance to compete in the Global Final in New York.
The students presented their analysis and buy/sell/hold recommendations on F-Secure Oyj. Presentation at the Finland/Estonia CFA Research Challenge finals was the culmination of months of research; interviews with company management, competitors, and clients; and presentation training under the supervision of their faculty advisor and a dedicated industry mentor.
