Turku School of Economics at the University of Turku organised the master´s degree ceremony, where masters and honorary doctorates were conferred. The previous master´s degree ceremony of the faculty was arranged 50 years ago.
A doctoral dissertation at Turku School of Economics, looking at the early years of companies in high tech sectors, has found that spin-offs created in business sectors which are closely related to those of their mother companies, are more successful at procuring resources for their development and can more easily overcome challenges.

The research indicates that broader independence leads to lower inflation within the political economy.
