Are you interested in issues related to teaching and learning in higher education? Would you like to develop your digital pedagogy skills? If so, these university pedagogy courses are for you.
The following courses are available for the academic year 2025 - 2026: Becoming a Higher Education Teacher 2 ECTS credits, Digital and Interactive Teaching and Learning 3 ECTS credits, Teaching Skills in Practice 5 ECTS credits. These courses are included in the University Pedagogy Studies 1 study module (total 10 credits).
The studies are suitable for university teachers and university of applied sciences teachers, as well as postgraduate students and anyone interested in deepening their knowledge of university and higher education pedagogy.
During the courses, you will reflect on your understanding of teaching and your development process as a teacher. In addition, you will learn key concepts related to teaching that will help you plan your teaching and understand the learning process of your students.
These courses are offered online, so you have the flexibility to complete them entirely through distance learning. Literature and assignments are in English, but studying is possible in both English and Finnish.

Teaching Skills in Practice 5 ECTS credits
Online studies 29.9. - 31.12.2025 and 26.1. - 24.4.2026. The student must have completed Becoming a teacher (2 ECTS) and Digital and interactive teaching and learning (3 ECTS) (curriculum 2024 - 2027) or Basics of University Pedagogy A (curriculum 2020 - 2022) or equivalent studies in order to attend to the course.
