Welcome to begin your studies in university pedagogy in spring 2024 with the courses Becoming a Teacher and How to Plan My Teaching!
During the courses you will reflect your conceptions of teaching and your developmental process as a teacher. In addition, you will learn the most central concepts related to teaching and this will help you to plan your teaching and understand the learning process of your students.
University Pedagogy Studies are suitable for university teachers and university of applied sciences teachers as well as postgraduate students who wish to enhance their expertise in university and higher education pedagogy.
These new courses are organized as online studies during 1.2. - 31.7.2024. Courses can be completed through participating in web-based learning in English.
Becoming a Teacher 1 ECTS credit

Information about new studies for the academic year 2024 - 2025
In August 2024, these courses will be replaced by a new 2 credit course: Becoming a Teacher / Opettajaksi kasvaminen 2 ECTS credits.
In the fall, you can continue your studies in university pedagogy with a brand new and topical online course "Digital and Interactive Teaching and Learning / Digitaalinen ja vuorovaikutteinen opetus ja oppiminen 3 ECTS credits". In addition, the Teaching Skills in Practice 5 ECTS course is added to the study offer. More information about these will be provided after the approval of the curriculum for the academic years 2024 - 2027 in April - May 2024.
