BOOST YOUR TEACHING is a series of online happenings and UP!-blog texts aiming to support teachers to develop their teaching and adapting to new ways to teach at higher education during and after COVID-19 pandemic. The happenings are organised by UTUPEDA – Centre for University Pedagogy and Research.
There is an urgent worldwide demand to update skills on online pedagogics among teachers from elementary schools to universities. The Global Educational Services of the University of Turku is providing extensive online courses on online pedagogy and also courses designed for higher education teachers in particular.
UTUPEDA Centre for University Pedagogy and Research started its operations in the University of Turku in the beginning of January with the mission of conducting multidisciplinary university pedagogical research as well as offering and developing education based on scientific research. The Centre offers education both in Finnish and in English.

We offer pedagogical training tailored to the needs of the teaching and guidance staff of the Faculty of Medicine, as well as shorter training events.
We also offer elective courses for undergraduate students in the form of the Medical Pedagogy Pathway and the Study Skills online course.
The MediOpe unit's tasks include supporting both teaching and learning at the Faculty of Medicine. The unit organises training for faculty teaching staff, supports the implementation and development of teaching, coordinates and develops mentoring programmes for undergraduate students and the faculty's student feedback system. The unit also supports curriculum development.
