Students of Finnish Literature become experts in Finnish literature and the literary institution, or teachers of Finnish language and literature. Our research and teaching cover the Finnish literary history as well as contemporary literary life.
The ABOAGORA pre-symposium invites Doctoral Candidates in the arts, humanities, and sciences and MA Art Students to gather around burning questions of the world on fire today. The pre-symposium takes place on 16–17 August at the Archipelago Centre Korpoström on Korpo island in the Turku archipelago.
The Faculty of Humanities contains two schools: the School of History, Culture and Arts Studies and the School of Languages and Translation Studies. The Faculty is host to several Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes as well as multidisciplinary research units, centres and groups that cross the boundaries between different subjects and faculties.
The Department of Study of Religion is a part of the School of History, Culture and Arts Studies in the Faculty of Humanities. Our premises are located in the Arcanium building.
The Library of History, Culture and Arts Studies in Arcanum will open on Wednesday the 8th of March at 10 am. Welcome to the new library to celebrate its opening!
The Research Centre for Culture and Health explores the connections between culture, health, and illness from a multidisciplinary perspective. The centre also provides education, and it participates in initiatives related to the University’s third mission, societal interaction.
