The Department of European and World History
The Department of European and World History investigates global history. The Department has a strong profile in the study of European societies and the history of global phenomena and interaction.
We examine history from a number of different perspectives, thereby making visible and understandable the multi-layered societies, their change, and entangled histories.
The Department has three main research fields: 1) the history of mobility and multiculturalism, 2) the history of science, knowledge and technology, and 3) the history of human-animal relations and the environment.
