How to Apply for Doctoral Training at the Faculty of Medicine

There are 7 Faculty of Medicine related University of Turku (UTUGS) doctoral programmes, through which a right to study for a doctoral degree is applied for. Each of the doctoral programmes publish a call for applications including instructions for applying before the application period starts. You can find all necessary information about applying from the doctoral programme in question.

The autumn term application round for a right to study for a doctoral degree and/or fixed‑term doctoral researcher position with an employment contract at the Faculty of Medicine is on 25 August 2026 – 8 September 2026 at 23:59 (local time in Finland). Study right begins on 1 January 2027.

Calls for applications and instructions will be published by the end of week 24 on the websites of the participating doctoral programmes listed below.
