Apply for a "presidential research home"

The University of Turku is opening for application access to a research residence renovated from the birthplace of former Finnish President Mauno Koivisto (”Manun kammari”, "Manu's chambers"). The application period ends on 7 December 2020 at 15.45.

The residence at Piispankatu 4 is meant for full-time doctoral students at the faculty of social sciences of the University of Turku, and of social sciences at Åbo Akademi University. The residence will be available for one year (until the end of 2021) with the possibility of extension on special grounds by application. Access to the residence is free of charge and begins in the beginning of January 2021 (renovation). The researcher may also use the residence as a personal apartment. The application documents which must include a cv, research plan, statement by the research supervisor and the requested time at the residence must be delivered to the faculty of social sciences by post at Faculty of Social Sciences, 20014 TURUN YLIOPISTO, by visiting Assistentinkatu 7, Publicum, or by email soc@utu.fi. The decision on the residence occupant is made by the faculty

of Social Sciences of the University of Turku.
