Emergency Exercise Was Organised as Part of Syystammi18 Drill at University of Turku

An emergency exercise was organised on the lower campus of the University of Turku on 13 September. It was part of a more extensive Syystammi18 drill by the Finnish Defence Forces.
The aim of the well succeeded drill by the Finnish Defence Forces was to practise the co-operation between different authorities and the University.
– At the University of Turku, we pay special attention to well-being and safety. I want to thank students and staff for the exercise that went off well and calmly. Participating in the local defence drill offered the University a unique opportunity to also test our own safety processes, says Vice Rector Riitta Pyykkö (second from right), who took part in the exercise.
