The members of the University Board and University Collegiate Council representing the University’s professors, other teaching and research personnel, and other personnel were elected in the University elections of the autumn. The University Collegiate Council earlier selected the members not representing the University’s personnel or students in the University Board. The Student Union selected the representatives of students for both administrative bodies.
The University Board is the University's highest executive organ. The University Board's decides on the central objectives of the University operations and finances, the Strategy and the Principles of Steering, operational and financial plan as well as budget, and prepares the financial statement.
In its meeting on 19 November, the University Collegiate Council confirmed the results of the elections in terms of members selected to represent the different groups of the University community in the Board for the term 1 January 2022–31 December 2025. The members not representing the University's personnel or students for the term 2022–2025 were already selected earlier. The University Board elects one member to be its chairperson in its meeting in January.

The purpose of the University Collegiate Council is to decide on the number of board members in the University Board, the length of the term, and the salary of the members. The University Collegiate Council selects the members not representing the University's personnel or students in the University Board. In addition, it approves the University's financial statement and annual report, as well as decides on granting an exemption from liability to the Rector and the members of the University Board. The University Collegiate Council holds a meeting when necessary to discuss significant matters that affect the whole University. The University Collegiate Council elects one member to be its chairperson in its meeting in January.
