Red Light Stage of the Traffic Light Model for Coronavirus Situation in Force at University

31.03.2021

The red light stage of the traffic light model is in force on all the University’s campuses. The traffic light model for the coronavirus situation defines the level of safety measures at the University of Turku.

In accordance with the red light stage of the traffic light model, work and studies are conducted mainly remotely. Face masks must be used in all the University’s facilities. The minimum safe distance to other people is 2 metres.

Contact teaching on the Turku campus has been suspended and facilities closed to the students during 19 March–5 April. The coronavirus management team of the University of Turku decided on 31 March that the tighter restrictions will no longer be continued starting from 6 April. Tighter restrictions can be reintroduced if the coronavirus situation deteriorates.

On the red light stage of the traffic light model, the maximum number of participants is 10 people in small group teaching, which ensures the continuation of the contact teaching that is not possible to teach at distance. The use of exam rooms continues according to the instructions and group work spaces are in limited use. The opening hours and services of Turku University Library are available on the Library's website.
