Share Memories and Dance to Celebrate Your Erasmus+ Exchange

14.10.2020

Take part in a TikTok dance, share photos of your most memorable Erasmus+ moments, or join in the Erasmus+ info session organised by the University of Turku on Zoom. The Erasmus Days 2020 are celebrated on 15–17 October and this year, the University will participate virtually.

During the Erasmus Days, Erasmus+ participants across Europe will spread the word about various projects within the Erasmus+ Programme. Altogether 1900 beneficiaries, alumni, actors and organisations are participating in the Erasmus Days globally. The international hashtag for the celebrations is #ErasmusDays.

The international mobility team at the University of Turku is organising activities and events during the Days. On Thursday, there will be a Zoom webinar on the University's internationalisation opportunities and a Q&A session, where you can ask questions about internationalisation or just to meet the international mobility team.

The international mobility team also works on social media and invites all present and past exchange students to share photos and videos on Instagram during the Erasmus Days. The themes of the Erasmus Days 2020 are environmental affairs, equality, involvement, and digital skills. How have these matters been visible in your Erasmus+ exchange? Let's share our most memorable Erasmus+ moments on social media with the hashtag #utuerasmusdays2020. There is a chance to win audio book gift cards by participating in the #utuerasmusdays2020 photo challenge.

The international mobility team also challenges everyone to join in a collective TikTok dance. The theme of the TikTok dance is different types of safe greetings during the corona time, such as waving, an elbow bump, or a foot shake. The international mobility team's video collage of your dance routines will be shared on the @utuexchange and @utuvaihdossa Instagram accounts during the Erasmus Days celebrations.

The University of Turku also celebrates the Erasmus Days together with the European Universities alliance partners. More events will be added to the Erasmus Days programme during the beginning of the week. You can find the information about the events on this page. The European Campus of City-Universities EC2U project will be launched in November 2020. The universities involved in the project are the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iaşi in Romania, the University of Coimbra in Portugal, the Friedrich Schiller University Jena in Germany, the University of Pavia in Italy, the University of Poitiers in France, The University of Salamanca in Spain, and the University of Turku.
