SYS-LIFE postdoctoral research programme invites applications for 22 postdoctoral researcher positions at the University of Turku, Finland, for a fixed-term period of three years. The first call for applications opened on 5 December and closes on 31 January 2023.
SYS-LIFE (Systemic approaches to improve cardiometabolic and brain health during lifespan) is a postdoctoral programme at the University of Turku, Finland, cofunded with Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. The fellowship programme’s goals include breakthrough advances in human health, scientific renewal and the development of the future leaders of tomorrow.
The SYS-LIFE research programme combines together five research units of the University of Turku: the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Technology, Turku PET Centre and Turku Bioscience Centre. The research topics include cardiology, cell signalling, innovations in diagnostics, digital health technology, gut microbiome, metabolism, neuroscience, nutrition, oral health and population health research.
Applications invited for 22 researcher positions
In the first call, applications are invited for 11 postdoctoral researcher positions. The MSCA fellowship programme is directed to researchers that have a doctoral degree by the call deadline and meet MSCA Mobility Rule requirements.
SYS-LIFE offers postdoctoral researchers the opportunity to design and lead innovative research projects relating to the improvement of cardiometabolic and brain health.
“SYS-LIFE utilises the unique resources of the University of Turku in cardiometabolic and brain health research. The campus in Turku has several research centres and platforms, as well as service core units either as an integral part of SYS-LIFE, or operating in close collaboration with it”, says SYS-LIFE Director, Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Turku Markus Juonala.
