University of Turku ranked among the world's top universities in 19 subjects
The University of Turku ranked among the world's top universities in a total of 19 subjects in the latest Global Ranking of Academic Subjects by Shanghai Ranking.
The Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) is one of the most closely followed university rankings worldwide. This year's ranking included approximately 2,000 universities and assessed institutions based on their performance across 57 subjects in the fields of Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, Natural Sciences, Engineering and Social Sciences.
The University of Turku was ranked among the world's top universities in 19 subjects. Dentistry & Oral Sciences Sciences was one of the university's top-ranked subjects, ranking 23rd among the participating universities. The university was also ranked among the top 100 universities for the subject of Nursing, earning a place in the 76–100 category.
The ranking results are based on a number of indicators, including quality of research, international collaboration, and esteemed academic recognitions. The results are not directly comparable between subjects because the number of universities included in the rankings varies from subject to subject.
