Researchers of Turku Bioscience received funding for researching SynGAP1 syndrome
Michael Courtney and Lili Li from Turku Bioscience have received funding from the charities SynGAP Research Fund and Leon and friends e.V. for research into SynGAP1 syndrome.
Academy funding for research into Academic Entrepreneurship
The Academy of Finland has granted over 750 000 euros to the University of Eastern Finland and the University of Turku to pursue the Academic Entrepreneurship as a social process (ACE) research project. The four-year project studies academic entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education and training in the transformation of universities, that are marked by financial pressure and the growing importance of societal impact.
Academy of Finland funding for research in critical materials
The Academy of Finland has decided to fund six research consortia (in all 17 subprojects) and two individual projects under the Academy Programme Critical Materials in Circular Economy of Cities (Romulus). University of Turku professor Kati Miettunen and assistant professor Milica Todorović received funding.

Docent Pekka Postila and Professor Olli Pentikäinen from the Institute of Biomedicine and InFLAMES Flagship have received 100,000 dollars in funding from the SynGAP Research Fund (SRF) for SynGAP syndrome research.
