University Takes Technology and AI Research to SHIFT Business Festival

The University of Turku participates in the SHIFT Business Festival on 29–30 August with two themes: using technology in the sustainable development of the maritime and food industries and the interaction between humans and machines. The theme of SHIFT 2019 is Shapeshifting intelligence, which looks beyond the hype for a more holistic view of intelligent business.

Nutrition and Food Research Center is a unique combination of nutrition and food science expertise as part of medical sciences. Even internationally there are only few such units enabling close dialogue and collaboration between food, health and medical sciences.
Diverse Maritime Experience in Turku Stretches from River to Archipelago

What Does Maritime Turku Feel like? was a multisensory study carried out at the University of Turku to explore citizens and tourists’ images of Turku as a maritime city. The new research method provides more precise information than before e.g. for developing urban design and tourism.
