Operations and Supply Chain Management

Supply chains are the backbone of international trade. Supply chains consist of different actors that collaborate to create value for the customer by managing efficiently and effectively material, information and financial flows.

Research and teaching at the Operations and Supply Chain Management (O & SCM) unit focus in transport, purchasing and supply management, collaboration and sustainability, for example. In addition, industry and national-level issues such as logistics markets and Trade and Transport Facilitation are addressed.

Teaching at the O & SCM gives students practical competences for demanding management and expert positions. Our curriculum develops students’ analytical and decision making skills related to supply chain management. Our graduates are able to identify improvement opportunities in various types of supply chains and to give recommendations on how to achieve such goals. They can make informed supply chain decisions that take into account economic as well as environmental and social aspects.
