The Baltic Sea is one of the busiest seas in the world and the volume of ships sailing in the area has increased steadily during the past decades. The challenge is to find a working balance between the increasing traffic and the need to protect the environment.

EXOPRODIGI project's final event  "Charting the Course for Sustainability – Baltic Sea region as a front-runner in clean shipping and shipbuilding" focuses on the role of the Baltic Sea region as a pacesetter in sustainable maritime transportation. The event features keynote speeches on the development and outlook of shipping in the area as well as an expert discussion on the measures needed to reduce the environmental impact of shipping and shipbuilding. Findings of EXOPRODIGI’s work on digital performance monitoring, cargo stowage optimisation and streamlining shipyard processes will also be presented and discussed.

The event which is open for anyone interested in sustainable maritime transportation takes place on Tuesday, 21 September 2021 at 9.00 – 13.50 (CEST) or 10.00 - 14.50 (EEST).
