The Alum of the Year recognition was awarded to Deputy Director Kristi Raik at the Anniversary Celebration of the University of Turku on 28 February 2024.

The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Turku marked its 80^th anniversary this year and celebrated its doctors and honorary doctors with a traditional ceremonial conferment of doctoral degrees on 25–27 May 2023. 

The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Turku is organising a ceremonial conferment of doctoral degrees on 26 May 2023. The Conferment Ceremony starts at noon at the Turku Concert Hall. The Academic Procession to the Cathedral can be followed starting from 3.30pm (if weather permits).

The Alum of the Year recognition was awarded to Director Mikko Pietilä at the Anniversary Celebration of the University of Turku on 28 February 2023.

The Ceremonial Conferment of Doctoral Degrees of the University of Turku will be arranged on Friday, 27 May 2022. The Conferment Ceremony begins at 11.00am at Logomo, and the entire event will also be directly streamed online. The Academic Procession making its way from the City Theatre to the Cathedral can be observed and followed starting from 3.00 pm (weather permitting).

The Opening Ceremony of the academic year 2021–2022 was exceptionally filmed beforehand and streamed as a recording. The Opening Ceremony video includes Rector Jukka Kola’s opening speech and the announcements of the recipients of commemorative medals and winners of the dissertation awards of Turku Finnish University Society.
