Deputy Director Kristi Raik is the Alum of the Year

The University of Turku participated in Children’s Day at Work on Friday, 24 November. The University organised programme for the children and they could also follow the adult’s work day freely.
The University community as well as friends, partners and stakeholders of the University celebrated the opening of the academic year 2023–2024 at the Main Building of the University of Turku on 5 September 2023. In his speech, Rector Jukka Kola highlighted that a strong university needs a strong community that is open to everyone.
The University of Turku and the Student Union organised the traditional Opening Carnival for the new academic year on 5 September 2023. The Opening Carnival was held at the square between Educarium and Publicum.

The European University Association EUA aims to develop, in accordance with its vision, the framework and administrative systems of European collaboration in research, higher education, innovation and culture.
The University community’s wishes have been heard, and the University of Turku has now been designed its own knitted sweater pattern. The most central symbol of the University’s logo and emblem, the torch, served as knitting pattern designer Jenna Kostet’s inspiration when designing the pattern.
The Opening Ceremony of the University's Academic Year 2022–2023 was celebrated on 6 September 2022. After a few years, the Opening Ceremony was again held at the University’s Main Building on campus.
The University of Turku and the Student Union organised the traditional Opening Carnival together on 6 September 2022. The Opening Carnival was organised at the Old Great Square to celebrate the Student Union’s 100th anniversary.
