The Education Finland is a governmental cluster programme coordinated by the Finnish National Agency for Education. The programme promotes and supports Finnish education providers and matches their services with international customers.
The selected members of the programme include Finnish education institutions and education technology or solution providers who represent the best of Finland from all aspects of education.
- As a leading multidisciplinary research university in Finland, we consider it to be very important for our University to actively participate and be visible in this national co-operation in order to strengthen and promote Finnish education and educational services worldwide, says Vice Rector Piia Björn.
Education Finland also enables and develops deep and diverse co-operation among its member organisations by linking them with international partners and connecting them to new opportunities for business and collaboration.
- The University of Turku already has a convincing record of successful training and consultation projects planned and implemented for international customers. However, co-operation with other members of the programme can bring along new opportunities and enables us to design and offer the best possible service portfolio for both existing and potential customers, continues Björn.
Education Finland is coordinated by the Finnish National Agency for Education and funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment in Finland. The programme also works closely with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
- This programme is coordinated by the highest authorities in Education in Finland. Therefore, we are also very honoured to be able to use the Education Finland logo. It is a token and label of the best possible quality in Education, not just in Finland but worldwide, emphasises Björn.
- “Together we are stronger” applies for our programme which brings the qualified Finnish educational service providers together for a close co-operation. We are happy for the membership of the University of Turku which strengthens and widens our portfolio with new services and experts, says Programme Director Jouni Kangasniemi from Education Finland.
