The Researcher in Spotlight is a series which introduces the researchers of the Faculty of Law. We are presenting now Doctoral Researcher Yulia Dergacheva.

The Faculty of Law of the University of Turku and the JuRe project organized a Nordic workshop on December 16, 2022. The workshop examined the regulation of crisis situations and the implementation of fundamental rights and democracy in crises.

Professor David Whyte has been a Visiting Professor at the University of Turku since 2014. He has collaborated with the Faculty of Law in events, research and teaching. In the spring of 2022, Whyte was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Turku. In autumn 2022, Whyte has been visiting the Faculty to plan a research project on sustainability in the forest industry.

In the Academy of Finland PostDoc project JuDiCe (Justice in Digital Spaces), which has started in fall 2022 at the Faculty of Law, docent and PostDoc researcher Miriam Tedeschi will find out how justice, urban space and tech are interconnected in people’s everyday life.
