INVEST is the first Finnish Flagship to get an external assessment

Research Flagship Centre INVEST is commissioning an international external assessment of its activities and future options as the first Finnish Flagship. The assessment will help INVEST and its host organisations to decide on the future of its activities after the end of the current flagship period.

The European Association of Developmental Psychology gives every two years The William Thierry Preyer Award for Excellence in Research on Human Development to a European psychologist or a group of European psychologists – who is/are recognized internationally for an original and substantial contribution to a better understanding of human development and its contexts, as demonstrated by first-rate publications in scholarly journals, based on empirical research into the antecedents, processes and outcomes of human development-in-context.

ERC Advanced Grant to Professor Christina Salmivalli for Research on Persistent Bullying Cases

Professor Salmivalli has received a research grant from the European Research Council ERC. The ERC Advanced Grant is the largest personal research grant available in Europe.

The five-year ERC Advanced Grants are given to established, leading principal investigators who have a track-record of significant research achievements. The ERC Advanced Grants are one of the most competed funding in Europe.

Psychology

Education in psychology is primarily aimed at leading up to professional competence in psychology. The high quality of the education rests on cooperation with the six Finnish departments/sections of psychology through the Psykonet network.
