Meet the new TIES2 fellows

In September 2026, seven TIES2 Fellows joined the Turku Institute for Advanced Studies (TIAS) to undertake new research projects. TIES – Turku Intersectoral Excellence Scheme is an innovative programme which mixes the traditional Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS) model of bottom-up research with intersectoral working. TIES1 and TIES2 programmes are co-funded by the European Union. TIES Fellows spend part of their Fellowship on secondment with an organisation outside of higher education.

We welcome colleagues from the University of Turku and beyond to join us to find out more about our new Fellows and their research. Please join us online for an hour of interdisciplinary and intersectoral research excellence.
