Biografia
Riikka Harikkala-Laihinen is a
Postdoctoral Researcher in International Business. She has graduated
from Turku School of Economics in 2019. Between 2015 and 2017 she worked
in the Tekes-funded EmoMA-project. In addition to research and
teaching, she updates the IB internet and intranet pages, and instructs a
weekly TSE faculty exercise class.
Opetus
Riikka has supervised Masters’ Theses
in the International Business faculty at TSE since 2015. She has
completed an introductory course of University Pedagogy.
Tutkimus
Riikka's doctoral research focused on employee emotions following cross-border acquisitions. She looks at ways for organizations to increase positivity during change periods, in order to ease the process and achieve better results. In addition to socio-cultural integration, which is the focus of her doctoral research, these findings can help practitioners in other types of organizational change initiatives. Her current work centers on cross-cultural communication and management.
