Tutkimus
Tutkin Ugandan sademetsän loispistiäisiä ja vertaan niitten lajistoa Amazoniin. Keräsin vuosina 2014 - 2015 Ugandassa valtavan hyönteisaineiston. Käsittelen nyt tätä aineistoa, kuvaan sen tieteelle uusia lajeja ja löytyneiden lajien ekologiaa, ja vertaan vastaaviin tuloksiin Amazonin sademetsästä.
Pidemmän aikavälin tavoitteeni on selvittää miten – ja mistä syistä – lajit jakautuvat maapallollemme. Tämä ei tosin toteutune pian; puolet keräämistänikin lajeista ovat tieteelle täysin uusia.
